About
The JNCL-NCLIS Student Advocacy Academy is a virtual leadership and advocacy experience designed for high school and university students who are passionate about language learning, education, and making an impact. Through interactive sessions, collaborative discussions, and hands-on advocacy activities, students will explore how language policy shapes educational opportunities and learn how to effectively communicate with decision-makers, communities, and peers. Participants will strengthen skills in leadership, storytelling, civic engagement, and advocacy while developing their own student-led advocacy initiative. The program connects students with experienced advocates and fellow language learners from across the country in a collaborative, student-centered environment. Students who complete the academy will receive a certificate of completion and a digital advocacy badge recognizing their participation and commitment to advancing language education advocacy.
