BIO

Our profession uplifts its voice in advocacy best through coalitions. During my first year as ACTFL's executive director, I've been humbled by the coordinated efforts, voice, and resources that JNCL-NCLIS provides to organizations representing hundreds of thousands of collective members of the world language education community. It would be a professional honor to serve JNCL-NCLIS as its next secretary and executive committee member, to continue driving our work forward in deeply challenging times. Previously, I served as the secretary and co-chair of the former National Coalition for History, a similar advocacy coalition of education professionals in the history/social sciences field. Through that leadership experience and my current role as a Sustaining Benefactor member of the JNCL-NCLIS Board of Directors, I am committed to the power of advocacy through coalition, and the power of JNCL-NCLIS to raise our voice in Washington, DC and beyond. Thank you for considering my candidacy.
