Award Categories
Equitable Language Education Visionary Advocate with Transformative Effect (ELEVATE) Award
Honors a successful advocacy work that advances access and equity for language and culture learners within and beyond the classrooms. The 2026 ELEVATE Award will be given to an advocate at an institute of higher education.

J. David Edwards Power of Advocacy Award
Recognizes one (1) language advocate in the field who has exhibited excellence in grassroots advocacy. The Language Advocate of the Year recipient demonstrates leadership and resilience through designing and/or executing inclusive advocacy initiatives at the local, state, and/or federal level.
